Brotherhood of St. Moses the Black 2009 Conference

16th Annual Conference sponsered by the Brotherhood of St. Moses the Black The 16th Annual Ancient Christianity and African American Conference sponsored by the Brotherhood of St. Moses the Black (BSMB) was held May 29th-31st. This years conference was hosted by Joy of All Who Sorrow Orthodox Church in Indianapolis, IN with accomodations at the Marten Center. It was a wonderful gathering of old and new friends. We were inspired, challenged and learned new things. This years theme was Joy and Sorrow, and included talks about St. Maurice and the Theban Legion and Fr. Raphael Morgan the first African American Priest in America. Our time concluded with joint liturgy at the church followed by a brunch.
